2014 f350 6.7 Powerstroke issues

What delete are you guys running?

Mine is a cab and chassis and the tuning is different , the only out of the box tuning for them was made by H&S and they are no longer or I had to get custom tuning, ended up buying a vin locked minimaxx of Kijiji for 275 and cost me 75 to get it unlocked, great deal.

I have friends using bully dog and sct in their 350s and they are both happy, not bad imo for boxed tunes

My 2011 got deleted at 10,000km. HS tuner. Had some transmission issues that was entirley my fault, repaired on warranty, no questions asked. Lower rad leak around 60k. Traded at 100k.

My 2015 was deleted at 5,000k. BD tuner. Same lower rad leak, at nearly the same mileage. Warranty covered most of it. Truck has 90k on it now.

For all you guys that are waiting to delete, I can't help but wonder why? It won't void your warranty anymore then driving a stock truck like a donkey:cool:

I'm betting the bearing failure was an oil issue- not the cold.

Im my eyes if u wait to 160 to delete the damage has allready been done. My intake was so sooted up from only 15xxx on my dodge cant imagine what it looks like at 150

I don't understand how those bearings can't be submersed in oil when it takes 12.4 L of 5w40 rotella t6 synthetic - to me it's Chinese bearings or some sh*t or the cold or the fact that that short block is a lemon

we do a lot of the Bully Dog tuners and have never had a problem, and it's a good tune out of the box, and everyone has been happy so far... good dealer support for them...... H&S really put all us dealers in a bind for quite a while, when they were suddendly shut down

Not saying it's the case with everyone but of the failures I know of guys would go to the quick lube joints and still get 15-40

Did you just say Shell Rotella T6 5w40 caused the failure LOL. That's a good one. It's one of the best oils on the market. Ford caused the failure, they couldn't engineer their way out of a wet paper bag.

The bearing issues on 2011 and 2012 6.7 is a known issue, can’t remember the technical jargon right now but what it was that the bearing would spin in the housing because there was not keeper pins to keep it from moving this would obviously cut oil circulation and it was game over. This was addressed in later models. I know lots of oil guys that have them and use them hard pretty solid really. Early turbos were also an issue. As mentioned earlier 2015 was a big year for changes and upgrades for the 6.7.

2014 F350 105,000km. Had a secondary coolant line changed due to a leak and cracked a transfer case tail housing. Deleted at 45,000km and running H&S minimax.

Been a solid truck so far. I left one of my trip meters on since brand new and I've put 18,000 liters of fuel into it in just shy of 4 years.

These 6.7's are by far the best diesel motor Ford has put in a truck in the last 15 years.

Running 0w40 rotella t6 - 3500kms on the new UPDATED short block gaskets and motor mounts - I still only have warranty till 160 thou - so I only have another 60 thou to blow the bearings out of this one ffs

Hmm my 2015 has been rock solid. Knock on wood.

The 6.7l imo is the best engine ford has had since the 7.3l.

But reading this thread it sounds like there won't be any on the road in a couple years.
Better fire sale her on Kijiji.

Same here, know lots with 6.7's all from 2011 to 2017, a couple bad turbos on the 11-14's and that's it. Other than emissions junk of course. Talked to a local diesel shop and they said they have only done a couple 6.7's with bottom end issues on the Ford's, but its mostly the 6.7 cummins that keeps their lights on and the mechanics employed.

Owner must be a ford guy. IMO any diesel shop who says the 6.7 Cummins is worse then the ford or Chevy diesel is a shop I wouldn’t trust to even do a oil change, because they are clueless.

The biggest problem with all 3 pickups is the idiots behind the wheel and the ones servicing them. So many people drive the chit out of them and frankly don’t care, which causes more issues then problems from the factory. When you start them in the cold and hammer down, it’s only a matter of time before it blows, or the million other stupid things people do. Or when even a dealership doesn’t know how to properly check oil level so they overfill them aka Derrick dodge.

ive had head gasket issues in both 08 cummins and 12 cummins is all (bad enough) but 380000kms going strong original tranny and all 5w40 rotella t6 deleted since 3000kms

When i deleted my 6.7 cummins 2012 i did headsteads at the same time and never looked back, i was to scared to buy a ford at that time due to motor issues but every delete shop i talked to said ford has got a hell of a motor now and thats the route i took with my 2017

I've babied my 2014 6.7 from day 1 - changed my oil every 10 thou - rotella t6 from day 1 - nuked the main bearing at 100 thou from starting it at a jobsite in drayton valley in -20c - not much i could do - built for life in canada appatently ffs - in my opinion if they have A UPDATED shortblock and updated gaskets and updated motor mounts that must mean the stock ones were known as hot garbage

Do you know what year those updates where implemented? 2015 hopefully.........
