I impaled my proclimb and could use some basic stepwise instructions for removing the drive sprocket.

Try and look at bgraff1's posts he posted a step by step track swap on here last year.

After looking for some on-line guidance and even calling a dealer and being told that that information is billable hours since it would take 5 minutes to provide it, I have written instructions to remove a track from a 2013 and likely a 2012 arctic cat sled. It is quite easy once you've done it.

2013 Arctic Cat Proclimb Track Removal
1. Remove both left and right side panels
2. Remove hood assembly
3. Remove left and right foot wells
4. Remove exhaust pipe and can
5. Compress track skid rear shock by putting weight on sled and tie with ratchet strap
6. Lift up rear of sled two inches off ground
7. Loosen track tension bolts and slid rear wheels forward loosening track
8. Remove front and rear bolts holding skid to tunnel
9. Lift rear of sled up three feet
10. Remove skid from track
11. Hang rear of track up into tunnel by inserting rods into rear skid mounting holes
12. Drill out rivets holding cover over brakes, remove accompanying screws and remove cover
13. Remove snap ring from left side of brake rotor
14. Remove bolts from inside tunnel holding brake caliper to tunnel
15. Remove brake rotor and caliper from shaft as one unit
16. Put drain pan under chain case on right side of sled
17. Remove torx screws holding chain case together while leaving oil reservoir attached to cover
18. Move assembly forward into exhaust space
19. Remove snap ring on lower shaft holding sprocket in place
20. Remove bolt holding upper sprocket to shaft
21. Remove both lower and upper sprockets with chain simultaneously
22. Raise track up into tunnel to clear drive sprockets
23. Slide drive shaft to the left of sled until right side of shaft clears lower bearing
24. Lower right side out of tunnel and remove shaft and track together

In order to install track reverse this process

Hey i have 2013 HCR and I just speared my track as well, just curious though did you rail to through yours or did you hit something?? Cause my rail went through mine, but also make sure you get the anti stab kit for it, because apparently the tips of the rails are to small and people are spearing them a lot. But I'm doing my track tonight. Good luck.

Anti-stabs are a good thing!! There is also a recall/ update from Cat to replace the rail tips. Probably to a wider one that won't fit through the window. Finally they have to admit there is a problem. Would be nice if they would warranty ones that have stabbed.

They will warranty it. I remember this happening with the 2003 Firecat's because I had one.

It's actually not a rumor....heard about this recall a couple weeks ago. Phoned the dealership where my hubby bought his 2013 and there are certain serial numbers effected. Would be worth to call your dealer to find out, if it could prevent a stabbed track. I'm going to change the rail caps or run an anti-stab on mine for assurance as I just installed a 2.5 Camo Extreme on my 2012.

Getting my updated dun on thurs. Also getting antistab kit mostly to get rid or annoying vibration (in runnig boards when in powder). This is the tips playing russian roulette with track windows.
