The quad only has 500kms and the water pump is leaking out of the little black hose. The dealership wants about 500 bucks to replace. Is this a job that I can do?

is the hose pressure fitted or is it clamped on? if its clamped on you may just have to change the clamps. Without looking at a service manual I could not tell you for sure.

Its leaking out of the drain hose from the water pump, which means the seal is shot. I was wondering if its a big job to do myself?

It appears that silt and mud are getting into the water pump/seal through the drain hose. Easy fix would be to extend the hose up to the ant head?
That is a good idea, did it on the rzr. I would recomend replacing it with a clear hose so you can see if it leaks. As far as the seal change I can't help you, never worked on an 850, sorry.
