2002 xc 800 LONG TRACK KIT

I am putting a 136 1 1/2" long track kit on my buddy's xc 800, I wanted to know if I have to do anything to the rear suspension for adjustments ?? And also should I drop a tooth or two on the top sprocket ??

Mostly trail riding!!!:bullrider:

Any info will help

I did a little to my XCSP last year, went from short track 121 - 1.25" to short track 136 - 2". I learnt a few lessons the hard way, make sure you extend the tunnel, it is very cheap and easy to extend. I also dropped down a tooth, but lost lots of top end, so I went back to the original, still have lost 15 to 20 MPH off of the top end! But I am quick off the draw, can get deeper, before I get stuck and can cat walk if I want to play around.

We didn't have to change any of the suspension, just need to adjust to comfort and weight setting.

Your probably going to drop your gearing just a hair to unless you've changed it you should be running a 25/40 setup now i would drop it to a 21/41 it wont lug the motor so much....
