04 Rev speedo crazy

i have a good friend who just had electric start put on his 04 600 , he now has a speedometer that just goes up to 120 and sporatic readings since getting the upgrade done . i would appreciate any help as to what might have happened to make it do this .

Weird, I have an 04 600 sum x ho as well and it had an electric start put on it as well . My speedo once I get going goes to 220 km and stays there till I slow down. Must have something to do with that. It also gains kms just ideling.
