does anyone know of an aftermarket bolt on cylinder head for kx250f? Gettting all the parts and having them installled is expensive. Thanks for any info.
Nope. I'm rebuilding my brothers after his intake cam lost oil pressure on a 2008 kx250f. The only cheap parts would be going to aftermarket valves, valve springs, and valve seals. You'll still need the oem cylinder head, spring seats and valve keepers. Then the tools to do it. It's cost me $1200 for the head and parts, $250 for piston and rings, then $400 for cams.
Your only other possible bet is to try re-cycle in stony plain for a used head.
Thanks for the info, and unfortunatley you are right! I checked into a few different options and decided to go with oem parts, 1700 with piston kit!!!OUCH!! Good thing the rest of the bike is in really good shape or it wouldn't be worth it.
