MPI says to run them pretty tight. If you were to push on it with your index finger perpendicular to the belt you should only be able to move it 1/4" when pressing firmly.
Yep, 'bout 240. Then subtract 3% for every 1,000' of rise in elevation due to less oxygen. 6,000' equals 196hp (-18% reduction due to elevation). This is why turbo's perform better @ elevation 'cause you can usually (not always) dial them up to compensate for elevation. That loss in oxygen...
APEX mods....A-arms, tunnel dump & seat?
I'm looking to do a few mods to a stock APEX mtn. and I was hoping peeps here could help with some pros and cons of the mods.
1. A-arms? I have a set of Barkbusters on another Apex so I was wondering about some others.
2. Seat and tunnel dump exhaust...

Back on subject....these new Cats look pretty hot! It will be interesting to see what the real weight #'s are.
Your best bet (and most cost effective) would be to sell the Phazer and buy a Nytro. You'll have a lot more dependability going that route. From all I've read the Phazers just don't hold up to the boost that well. Good luck!
I run Torco Fuel Accelerator. Works great! I'm running at 10#s w/ no shim at around 5500'-9000'. At the higher elevation I don't need it but where as I start at 5500' I need a little bit of insurance.
Wait, wait, wait......now I remember. I had a breakdown a few years back. My battery cable came loose and I had to tighten it before I could continue on. :fear:
Just razzin'
I have two, the Klim Nacpak and a True Adventure Gear Lightning pack. Both of them accomodate the shovel and probe. The Nacpak is great as it's smaller, has a water bladder with a large opening (you can reach your hand into the top), a tool bag, a goggle bag and lined pocket. The Lightning pack...
