    Griffin to Blue Lake

Dave if you thought the trees were tight in Hall the last time we rode together you will really like the shortcut I have to get to Blue Lake. Not a ride for thoughs that don't like tree bashing. It's a great ride if you know where to go and lots of trouble if you don't.

20 tooth top gear on E-tec results

If you are riding your stock etec on hard pack or minimal snow the stock clutching is good and gearing up will give you more track speed but once you get into some deep snow you will lose track speed and your clutch temps will go through the roof. My summit x 154 etec came with 21-49 stock...

    etec pin weights

Should be 13.7 but you will find this too light if you ride 7000 ft and lower. With the stock secondary and the stock 160-350 primary spring you will want to gear it down to 19- 49 and set the pin weight at 14.7 grams on clicker #3. If you want to wake your sled up get DJ's new D2 helix...

    B.i.s.

I saw the Snowmobiler TV show that was on the Revy incident last year. I thought they did a great job. News reporters do it to make the new entertaining and always get the facts twisted up. The people that were involved in making this episode on Snowmobile TV are interested in responsible...

    second 08 crank shaft falure

Ya, lots of issues with 08 cranks. They are either braking in the center of the cranks or on the outside of the block at the stubb. My buddy has gone through three since Christmas. The cranks have been coming from CV tech in Quebec and they know there is a problem. I would suggest getting a...

    Area west of REvy photo's

Thanks for clearing this up. I thought I was right at first but also would not say the name of this area. I am not a fan of the route required to get into that area but your right. To many of the locals this is an area that they want to keep private. Definitely not an area for the average rider...

    Area west of REvy photo's

Sorry for the confusion. The area in question could be the back end of Griffin if that is what Lucas told you as I know he did ride Griffin last weekend but I thought it looked more like a different area on the other side. My point was only that if you have not been in these areas before...

    Area west of REvy photo's

We had to do the same thing last year with the same brand of sled. That's one of the down side to this area. If you brake down the only way out is on a hook because there is no way you can tow out a dead sled.

    Area west of REvy photo's

That's not the area the pictures were taken from but good try! Griffin is more of a trail ride or tree riding area if you know where to go. Be careful if you head into these areas or.you can get yourself into lots of trouble. Best to go with someone who knows the area.

    good deed for the day

It's easy to do so I don't understand why more people don't have a gps with them. Weather changes so fast in Revy people get turned around, good thing most sledder are willing to help other like you did. Thanks

    The thing can

What sled at going to put it on? They make different models for different years. If you don't want it much loader than stock get the "Quiet Thing" It works great and has a nice sound without being load. I've had them on my last 4 sleds and have not been disappointed.

    2011 summit etec issues

Had the reflash done, the only thing I noticed was that the max rev limiter is now at 8250 rpm up from 8150. The mid rpm stumble is still there sometimes but not often. 950kms on the sled now, all hard deep mountain riding, stock clutching sucks, cause clutch temps over 240 degree F. Two blown...

    RPM 's Too High

Had the same problem at the start with hot clutches and blown belt. Ended up shimming the secondary over 1.5mm and adjusting the alignment even though the dealer said it was in spec. Changed to a 130/350 spring in the primary and set pin weight to 15.5 grams and geared down to 19/49. Now running...

    10" riser on 2011 E-Tec's

Installed a 10" riser on mine. The brake line is a little tight but it's ok.

    Clutching for an ETEC.

If you ride in the steep and deep you will need to make some clutching improvements for both better performance and belt life. I have over 500kms on my Etec all in Revy and have wrecked 1 belt and the second is already starting to look bad. I had the new software update done last week and also...

Putting an after market can on 2011 summit 800 ETEC

Turbo Al and the crew at the Revy Sled Shed have the "Thing" cans ready to go. He has three different models available for the Etec. They have the port built into them for the temp senor and work great. Given them a call for more details and pricing. Ph #250-814-0018 you won't be disapointed...
