That's exactly what I did and took off nine pounds. That is with an Earth X battery with a higher rating than stock. Other than that you have about another nine pounds to go.
Was going to do the chaincase and 3", but now I hear they hook up pretty good stock, so I will probably put a turbo on instead. I am sure that would be plenty! Now which one?
After Tom had a big problem with a s---ty nicisil plater last year on numerous big bore kits, and the overtime he put in to fix the problem, he has proven the type of guy he is. He works very hard and believes in what he sells. My 880 XP ripped until the end which was April and the cylinder...
Bought a Boss last year and after pulling all the zippers off the first ride, and having to pay for them to fix their f-up, I will never buy another one. Most good upholstry shops can modify your seat to whatever you want and it is not that hard to lighten then up once they are apart.
Picked up my Red 163 Pro on Oct 21st. The sled looks impressive and I hope it is a good one. Fit and finish is excellent, skinny body, and the engineering they put in is impressive. It is so light it makes a 250lb guy feel pretty guilty. Coming from an XP, I am so happy to be back to Polaris...
I had them on four sleds now, the last one being my XP with a 174 last year. Loved these awesome skis on all sleds except the XP. Very hard to steer the sled but I did have alot of weight on the front in order to keep the front end down and prevent trenching. I may try them on my new RMK but...
I hear ya about being on the rope. After blowing up my 880 last year I sold it on the spot and did not wait around for the helicopter. Hopefully the RMK is good to me, but then again, I am my own worst enemy.
Well considering my company (DDC) has modified over 600 Ford 6.4 engines, I can tell you they are a tough engine. Recently one made 900+ horsepower at the wheels with the stock bottom end. The best thing you can do for the engine is put a quality tuner on it, full DPF delete exhaust, air box...
If you do mostly camping and quadding toyhaulers are great until you decide to put bigger tires on your quad. Then you cannot put them side by side anymore. I have a Cyclone and a CanAm 800 with 29.5 tires which has not been able to see the inside of my toyhauler since new. The garage part is...
I have a red Pro 163 and have a 162 x 3" C.E track coming for it cut down to 15 wide, Avid extended chaincase , 8 tooth Avid drivers, and if the engine holds together for a few trips, possibly a turbo kit.;)
