if everyones is backordered, and this mass recall continues.... theres going to be a lot of openings for labouring snowmakers(and a new manager by the sounds of it). therefore, next season should be great.
this is great information i appriciate the help!!! wheres the best place to pick up the aftermarket intake system, and other parts. i think this may be a boring summer... itll be awsome to finally get that 162 in some real snow. thanks again

i bought it this way. need a pair of pistons, cyl's good. that im happy about. could use a set of reeds, and a right plastic. thanks for the feed back!!
i bought the rig a couple weeks ago, had a no start issue. got curious and pulled it down to get a better look. pistons scarred up. id rather play it safe and replace them now rather then have a catostrofic. need reeds(may or may not have broke one...) and a right hand pannel. no great riding...
hope i caught this in time. a pair of pistons and bearings is a lot cheaper than a whole motor. any other notorious problems with these that you know of?
fair enough. hoping this machine will be a good thing. when your buddies blew their cranks, was that simply bearing failure or did they have a bad crankshaft design?
i recently picked up a 05 rt1000. have a no start issue right now, that im not worried about. my pistons are skuffed up and intake is VERY dirty. the skuffing(for lack of a better term) looks to me like a little more than dusting. do these sleds have cooling issues or a history of being...
