Cat has come out with a new 700 efi Mud Pro targeted at the hardcore mud crowd. What do you guys think? Is there a market for this type of "off the floor Mud / Skeg atv"? I think there might be. It has been clutched and geared specifically for low end torque apparently... plus factory snorkels, mud tires, additional GC etc.

Kind of ballsy for a factory to equip a bike to be Mud (abuse) specific and still have a warranty. I wonder what the fine print on the warranty will read like?

Looks like an awesome ride though... not just because it's metallic green. :d

Check out the "Horn" on the front cowling which incases the snorkels.

Absolutluy, this is about time. In comparison, this would be like when manufactures came out with the first mountain sled...too long, never able to turn it, too heavy, too much abuse, etc.....if these machines are built properly, regardless of terrain, they will work just fine. Proper gearing, proper seals, snorkles, all built to survive mud...:twocents::bike:

That is wild looking quad... Surprised that more manufactures are not adding snorkels from the factory.

If the manufacturers add factory Snorkels to their ATV's, it would send a message to the buyers that their quads are up to the punishment that this specific style of riding, mud, muskeg etc. is suitable and acceptable ... Most manufacturers will not want to warranty a Mud specific atv as it will probably or Most likely be abused. I am supprised that AC has ventured out in this market. Apparently they have done their homework and built this thing to stand up to some abuse. The axles and alot of the drive line components are from the Thundercat, which is probably the best durability test??. Time will tell if this marketing experiment will be succesful or not.

Very cool. I like the idea that mods are becoming more familiar to the manufacturer's. That just might be enough for third party companies who sell after market parts to lower prices and come out with more of a lineup on mods and perf parts.

I love the look of the quad too!
