So pretty much what your saying along with the government is that when you have a bad problem, legalize it... Drugs, murders, sex offenders. That's the problem with liberal thinking. Don't have a job? We'll give you money. To many gun deaths? Take them away from the people that are law abiding. Got a drug problem? Legalize drugs. Got a crime problem? Defund the police. I struggle to see how any sane person with even one ounce of common sense could follow that doctrine? But then we are talking the looney left so I'm not surprised.

His way is harsh but may work, your suggestions are proving to be ineffective and useless. Legalizing a problem , is hardly solving it , it’s pretending to solve it . Reminds of years ago when in school we had Canada Fitness program badges , Gold , Silver and Bronze , most people strived to achieve the best one they could based on athleticism , body type , and also just genetics. The more athletic you were obviously you’d level gold or silver but all, with a little attempt at effort and participation would at least get bronze. Even then there were some who chose to not make any effort at all , and were ok with not participating at all . But then , problem , in some university think tank the edict came out that Canadians fitness levels , compared to other countries , weren’t as fit. So government in its wisdom , and after spending who knows how much money , formed committees of analysts , physchologists , and good old politicians , studied it thoroughly, and came out with the recommendation ………. To lower the fitness standard by a bunch , ….. thereby causing Canadians to be acceptably fit. And if you take notice by the number of how many overweight , and downright obese people there are , it apparently wasn’t the solution. But it reminds me totally of how this asinine this mindset is that if it’s a problem , legalize it or reduce the expectations , rather than actually having The stones to truly solve it.
