Just showed up this afternoon. I’ll try to mount it tonight. They come from factory with slime and recommend putting it in when installing a new tire. They are so thin they puncture easily.

Is your Vega wheel a bit concaved, or did I get a freak?

Yes I’d say it has a bit of a concave. 20psi in it right now.

I just watched Adam Savage build his own OW on youtube at the factory and they took the gokart tire out of the plastic and mounted it and aired it up and it was concave as well

Pretty much the same concave as the Vega

I can’t believe how much quieter this new tire is! On asphalt it’s literally silent. Handles closer to the pint but more stable. So far pretty happy with the new slick.

So I found out today that a tail wind will throw you up to max speed in a hurry haha. We have been having some decent gusts today and they like to move you around

Yeah, it is wild. I also learned that a 50km/h crosswind on gravel is not really fun.

After riding 100km of loose gravel I finally took my one wheel to the big city and WOW is it ever nice to ride a smooth paved bike path. Rode about 10km and my legs weren't even sore. Usually after 4 miles of gravel my legs are like jello.
