I bought my son a 2004 TTR125 new in 04. It was a great investment. The bike has a ton of power, rides nicely, and just goes anywhere. We got his with the smaller wheels which was a mistake. We had bought the bike in August and even with the smaller wheels he couldn't touch the ground properly. We parked the bike for winter, and when riding season came next year he was 3 inches too tall for the bike. Go figure. He still rode it until I got him his next bike and he did a great job with it.

P.S. Know anyone who wants a 2004 TTR-125 electric start with the smaller wheels for 1500.00?
