Favourite sled was a 77 Motoski Nuvik 340. There were 7 of us that had them and we would go to an old horse race track and have heat, quarter, semi and finals races till 3am on the weekends. Everybody was evenly matched and it came down to the best driver.Best times on a sled.

My first was a '76 SnoJet440. Dad bought it new, rode it for a year, then gave it to me when I was 6. For 34 years, I have never not owned a sled.

69 ski doo olympic 399 twin custom widen front end.................hang on!! boy the 80s were fun!!!

I second that about the 80's......things went alot slower and more easy going back then......anyone could fix a sled with a few common tools......now a days, you need the dealer to plug in his laptop! back then they always ran......now a days, they are all time bombs......back then gas was 25-38cents a liter (with gas wars down as low as 7 cents a liter in 1990) now a days race fuel is like $4 a liter and AV gas is $1.65 a liter......I want the 80's back......but not the hair! lol

not sure what year or size but my first ride was a day on the trails around kamloops on an orange and blue ski doo early 80's machine I'd guess, no suspension, minimal power but fun enough I bought a 98 670 after a few tours on it

1980 Blizzard 5500, with a 7500 hood painted Iroc blue. I had it for 3 years, then upgraded suspension to a new 96 Formula 500 SL. Same 500cc engine, but was the ride ever nice!

Well our first family sled was a 1966 Sno-Scoot 252 with 15 HP. then a '72 250 elan, and a '68 skidoo olympic 335 or 338? '72 polaris colt 250. '72 arctic cat 292 panther. Sure dont miss all those steel cleats. I also have three brothers to help me with the damages to these old sleds. My own very first purchase was a 1981 Yamaha SRX 440, then a '96 600 polaris XCR, '98 Yamaha mountain max 600, 2003 800, HO Summit, 2006 900 polaris dragon, 2007 XRS doo,and presently a 2009 polaris turbo dragon.
