I like playing around on hills but not a lot of mountain riding in alberta so?

A 174 or freeride?? Hmm kinda seems likes apples and oranges. Freeride works pretty good in the hills tho,,, for me at least. Doupt id ever want a 174 as my main ride. Freeride would be a better ditch banger too.

I pulled this line not too long ago. Niel posted a vid last year of JP climbing it on his turbo pro 174,,, It a fairly steep pull. Freeride is not a purpose built hill climber, but It gets around.

As you know it's all in the conditions of the snow.
3 ft of fresh and your free ride isn't climbing that !

Oh id still make it,, might take half a day tho...lol Honestly it was pretty hard pack coming into it, but the top 200feet of vert was a drift, had a lot of speed coming in so that got me over. Ill tell you this though, most people wont try it regardless of snow conditions. Coming down,,, now that's the crazy part... But it brings you into this sweet bowl, didn't look like any one else had been over it this season. The Back side.
