What is the easiest way to change out your winch cable on a 09 Outlander 800R

What is the easiest way to change out your winch cable on a 09 Outlander 800R, I thought it would be simple and have it done in 10 minutes and it is still not done. What do I have to do to remove the old cable and install the new one.

Unwind. Push cable backward through hole in drum until little metal nub falls out. Pull cable off. Crawl around on floor to find little metal nub. Reinstall new cable. Wind up. 10 min.

You forgot to mention getting stabbed with the old frayed cable a half dozen times!

Thanks Guys, once I got into the winch it was really easy. So it is done now.
