I have two 2013 F150's. I don't like adding lights if I don't have too..... I hate how they look. I am going to switch my 2013 XTR to the factory HID's my FX4 has... much better than the halogen junk Ford uses. I may install a 20" LED bar in the bumper opening on the XTR but we shall see.

Hmm wonder what a retrofit would cost. Im guessing at least a G. The oem hid projectors looks slick but for that kind of money you could get a lot more light. Thinking a 30" SR would look nice on a slim bar KC type bar.

The opening would be ideal but I don't want to take airflow away from the cooler.

I hear you, not out for the "look at me" set up . Cleaner the better. I defiantly 'need' it though. Days getting shorter already...height of winter we're getting about 4-4.5 hrs daylight.

I put a Rigid 20" in where the license plate is supposed to go. Lots of light and really lots if the trees are tall along the fence line. I don't know about the safest installation to deter the thieves. I am still contemplating that one and have to figure something out before the snow flies.

I'm working on a quick connect mount that will make the LED light bar removeable so you can unplug it and store it in the vehicle. Testing the prototypes now should be for sale in the fall. Less than a minute total to remove and re-install. Small mounting system left on the bumper/bar to connect to. Let me know if there's any interest here.

4 55watt 10" light force hid 2 spots 2 floods. I have spent tons on lights over the years and this set up works best. light bars are cool but they don't give the distance of a hid driving light. 2nd reason light bars suck is for sledders mostly. Big flakes on the highway plug the light bar up and you can't even tell its on. They don't put out any heat and fill with slush and snow. Personally i won't buy another one. you need heat to melt snow and be able to use your lights. i actually thought i blew a fuse on my light bar cause i couldn't tell it was turning on. later when i pulled over it was totally covered in snow and was still working. Just my 2 cents.

30" light bar behind the grill. Doesn't throw the light super far but lights everything up beside the truck and to the tree tops. Also have a couple pods in the headache rack.
