Warm ambient temp half tank of fuel runs like crap

I have 2012 pro engine rebuilt about 300 mi ago. Runs like a champ till the afternoon when temp rises and I'm around half tank of fuel. Then if I stop shut it down and restart it's like it's flooded, runs like crap it feather the throttle for a bit then it clears up. Also on the way down the mountain got active det had to stop and shutdown to clear... Any ideas? Oh 2 week ago EGT sensor failed, installed a new one cleared that up though.

check your gas cap or vent hose the same thing happened to my 800, when it happens open the cap slow and listen for air
