Hey guys, 2012 RMK. Went to loosen the front shock spring and the adjuster nut turned a couple turns and then has seems to be siezed. I can only move it about 1/16" each way now. Sprayed some penetrating oil on it but doesnt seem to help.
Any ideas to free this up? I even tried heating it up a bit and nothing helps.

Thanks

Pretty common on those shocks.

You've got to loosen the spring tension off first, sometimes you have to pull the whole shock from the machine, the aluminum is probably galled and if you do get it free it'll need some delicate work with a fine file to clean up.

Wax! Heat it up hot enough to melt wax but not hot enough to blow the sock up lol. Put wax on the threads will go down into the threads and turn out. If you use a small propane torch you can just hold it so it heats the nut.
