turning off issue with honda quad

honda quad wont shut off

86 Honda 350 won't turn off when the key is turned off. What might my problem be? I does need to be in the on position to start the bike, but when turned off, it keeps running. I had the front fender off today...is the a chance I unplugged something I shouldn't have that would let the bike shut off?

ya. i would make sure u didnt knock off a ground wire or unplug partially your ignition. why were the fenders off, were you shining it from the inside out....thats true love of the sport.......lol

no we had the fenders off to replace the fan motor but yes i did disconnect a wire fixed now thanks for the tip.
