I have been told that if u run a boosted m8 at 1000ft eventually its going to blow. But if i ran av gas and turned boost down to about 4 lbs i should be fine dont you guys think? Any opinions would be great.

More octane is never a bad idea but turning down the boost is a band-aid just add more fuel. You should have a wideband and/or egt's to help you with your tuning.

I run my M8 at 8lbs. at 1300 ft and straight av and its still in one piece. Just dont hold it wide open for very long. They gear out really quick.

I run straight av gas, put on as many miles up there last year as I did down here. 8-9lbs of boost, no issues. Other than its a little harder to hold on down here! Just watch EGT's as I'm sure different turbo set ups run differently!
