Towing with a tow bar???

Can I tow my Joyner dune buggy with a tow bar? Do I need to hook lights up?

What is a Joyner dune buggy? Yes you need lights. I used to flat tow my jeep alot but not sure what your dune buggy looks like.

Not sure about Alberta, but in BC the vehicle being towed must have a current license and registration.....plus lights and safety chains of course.

No you can just tow with a ratchet strap and a glow stick tied to the bumper

It has taillights (breaks and turn signals) that I can wire into. So if I just add a tow bar with chains I'm legal? Yes it is registered with a plate

Your best bet....call the RCMP and talk to someone who deals with Highways.

Ok did a yahoo image search. 90% of them had quad tires on. If you have quad tires, which are not d.o.t. approved, then you cannot flat tow. Has to go on a trailer.
