Pulling my boat trailer out of the water yesterday, one of the wheels on the back axle was locked 3inches off the ground. It is a rubber torsion bar suspension. I pulled the brake assembly off, as it looked like it had rotated around the axle post. Thought maybe nut was loose - but wasn't. 1/2 hr to remove. The axle post is absolutely solid.m I thought there was a little give in these types of suspension. I could not get the cap off where the axle post comes out of the axle tube.
I have never seen this before. What's buggered?
