I took the head off to get powder coated. any one know the spec for the head bolts?

im assuming you mean the pink head you want to put back on the 600

Head bolts- 18-22 ft.lbs
Cylinder base nuts- 30-34 ft.lbs
Crankcase 8mm bolts- 20-24 ft.lbs
Crankcase 10mm bolts- 26-30 ft.lbs
Flywheel- 90 ft.lbs

Torque head bolts prior to torquing cylinder base nuts

hopefully this helps

Hey Overkill, torque specs for the 900 head are 22 ft/lbs. Make sure when you do torque them that you follow the correct pattern/order for which bolt to begin and finish at. pm me if you want I can direct you to a downloadable PDF service manual for all the 2005 Polaris "Deep Snow" machines, it has a lot of good info for servicing/repairing the 900s.
