started up the sled and started to knock. turned it off and cant turn it over (gets hung up on something) . pulled plugs and right hand side has metal chips. what should i do? it was at low idle when iit started to do this.

That's common for the 1000 that happened to me , pull it apart and rebuild it or a crate engine is what I bought 2700 plus 700 for core

Chit were you get a shortblock 1000 for 2700. Doo is 4500. That's a sweet deal right there

Although you can get new crank and pistons for about 1200. As long as your case is good

Yup big end rod bearings are notorious. I just rebuilt one, best price I could find on parts was from Big John at SHR.

That's what I was thinking would be nice to see the invoice from riverside as like I said they are 4500. An 800 is only around 2700 though I believe. 2900 is a good price I think. Cases and crank alone are 2g nearly for a 1000
