I know this thread is a 'lil old, but I've been there more than my fair share of times. Not the best for sledding, but it makes for some awesome quading.

Not sure where u get ur info on sledding but goose tower is probably the best riding area in alberta east of the rockies. With an average snowfall of 10 feet, goose tower has produced some epic rides with bottomless powder. Granted last season sucked and this year is not off to a great start. 4 years ago we rode out there from mid october to early may with a snow base in march of about 7+ feet in places and drifts about 12 feet tall. There is pipelines, powerlines, and trails that go for miles and miles(ride all day and never cross your same tracks). Also if you know where to go and the snow cooperates there is some nice climbs up through the trees and some valley bottoms that can be difficult to climb out of.

What do u mean wrong thread? Swan hills is about as close to the actual geographical centre of Alberta that any place can get.

If you look in the nw alberta thread you will find all the swan hills goose tower etc threads for all the past years. It has always been posted in that one. Swan hills may be in the central part of alberta but as far as threads go it is in the NW alberta one

Yeh not sure were that guy gets his info from. They're lucky if they get 6" of snow each year. Go somewhere else not worth the gas to drive there let alone try and ride.
