Sure a lot of it going on everyone, good to see.
I would like to start this thread recognizing all of you together.

Could everyone take a pic. of your group at your fund raiser and post it here. Tell us all how you raised your funds, who was involved, where you were, who donated and how much fun it was.

I have just talked Jennifer at the CAC, they will have a link on this page soon
Sled : Community : Canadian Avalanche Centre : avalanche.ca
to recognize you all. Names will be listed on the site and a link to this thread.

The idea is to keep track of our donations and designate them to specically benefit snowmobilers. Together our donations can make a difference.

steel town I hope you can start us all off, Jennifer said she had recieved your cheque and was wondering how to thank your group. This will be a start.

We appreciate all of the fundraising efforts by individuals, clubs and dealers. Bow Cycle is the first of many to come.
We are working on recognizing all donations on our website. I have our webmaster assigned to the task. Possibly a ticker on the homepage listing the latest donations with a link to a list of all donations.

This past wknd. at the Grand opening of the Boulder Mtn. Emergency Shelter and our Annual Avalanche Awareness Day the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club and Snowmobile Revelstoke Society each donated $5,000 to the Canadian Avalanche Centre.
The donation from the club was made in memory of Shay Snortland, Kurtis Reynolds and Kelly Reitenbach to promote avalanche awareness for snowmobilers. Monies from the club were raised from a support the CAC fundraiser and the proceeds from the auction at our Boost/Thunderstruck Premier.

The CAC has received over $14,000 in donations this past week alone from the sledding community. Included in the $14,000 is the $10,000 we received at the Boulder cabin from the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club, Snowmobile Revelstoke Society, Team Thunderstuck and all of those who participated in their generous fundraising efforts. We can honestly say we were surprised at the total amount and grateful for their efforts.
We also received funding from the Eagle Valley Snowmobile Club and the Coquilhalla Summit Snowmobile Club from their Trail Head fees "Buck-A-Head" fundraising program. All of these donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to funding CAC public avalanche safety programs.

Some details from the Grande Prairie CAC fundraiser Friday night

We raised $4300.00, we had 117 people for supper. The silent auction went realy well. Eagans did a awesome job with the supper. The sponsors came through big time. The 50/50 that the Swan City Snowmobile Club did raised $2000.00 with a $1000.00 to a lucky winner. It seemed to be received well by the whole crowd, maybe it will be a annual event.

We had Ryan Shelley from the CAC as our MC, Zacs Tracs donated 2 AST Level one courses, the local sled dealers were a huge support.

Take notice in the first picture even Eric Clapton looks up to Koby
