They work unreal, a turbo pro flipped my sled over with one, he pulled beside me, me pointing up hill him pointing down, hooked to ski toe, it pul the ski vertical and twisted it a bit and then right over backward. Three sleds in a line pulled my friends sled out of a creek hole that was 14 feet deep. If they don't work for you your using them wrong but I do t know how you could. Always buy the rattler, you can buy a spare recoil handle to make it the other one
