I put the brp float plate on. I like it fits nice and I think a stump or rock will slide over your arms and stuff rather than hook them.

So what is the advantage of the carbon fiber over the plastic BRP one other than it costs more? Lol.

It's way stronger and provides more coverage, you will bounce off sticks, stumps and rocks instead of them poking a hole through the thin plastic crap.

But hey do what ever you like, it your money! I was just providing another option....

Not bashing, just asking. Have never wrecked a plastic one thus the question.

It looks like it gives you more head on coverage.. But from the picture it sure looks like you get less underbelly protection.

I can't find any of my other pictures right now, this is the best I can do. It gives the same coverage as the BRP skid plates in the A-arm area.

Its the heat exchanger you need to protect. If you ride over as much brush as i do get the full brp plate. If you are a mt rider get the extreme. Lots of snow builds up in the full one.

Rpm helps with structure support in a big way by the way it bolts on and protects.
You can take a hell of a hit and not wreck anything.
Have had a couple since 2008 and highly recommend .
Would have wrecked a couple front ends due to rocks and only scratched plate.
IMO

There is NO skidplate that protects like a RPM, I have been running them for years and would have wrecked a lot more S modules if it was not for them. I have hit sharp rocks that have damaged the carbonfiber kevlar that would have peeled a plastic skidplate and cooler off.

This shows the protection of the RPM. Can easily see how it protects your cooler and clutch and chaincase.
