Well put flagging tape on exhaust pipe of groomer if it looks like groomer hasn't moved. If still on it morning after they reported trail was groomed then you know. Have done that test before and the trail was reported groomed and tape wasn't melted. Trail was a complete mess at 9:00 AM. Haven't purchased a membership since then.
Well, maybe talk to Donegal at BCSF and see what can be done or changed for improvements.
Looks like the BCSF got the Revelstoke club back on track so far....
Just a thought.
Remember: The club is run by its Membership, not a few individuals.
Might be time for an in depth look into the inner workings.
The Society Act shall be followed for BC.
I would bet that the clubs bylaws have been stagnant for years and need a major rework to become current.
As a member you are entitled to general meeting minutes and financials amongst other things.
Just request them.

My local club is going through this issue right now. We had outdated bylaws, no direction for exec board members, no code of ethics, no ERP. Basically was being run as a mom and pop operation the same way it was in the 80’s. Took an Incident with groomer mods in the summer to bring it all to light. But as said it’s run by the membership and the members are helping rectify the issues so things are looking up!!

I don't really see Sicamous as a club but more of a snowmobile buisness. One could get involved/ run for board etc. I suupose but I just want to ride and am more than willing to pay my way. We have had decades of being on boards of clubs under the societies act and it is time to relax and let the younger generation figure it out.
Decided to go a different way, have a change of scenery and joined at Revelstoke and Hunters. Main reason is the parking and access issues with logging here is getting worse every year. Tired of 3 to 4 k of rock and mud to get up the hill.
I was suprized to find it only cost me 25 bucks more than cost in Sicamous to belong to two clubs.

Well if you thought that was good you need to come back when snow is good because it hasn't been great yet this year.

need snow dances, it's a ribbon of mudd and gravel heading out of parking lot.

The latest report at Sled Sick. Total shitshow daily
Blue lake and Eagles pass are full for parking!
Truck and trailers proceed to Queest! Owls head trail is mostly gravel the first 2 Kms. Trailers still need to park at the bottom of Owls

One of our group triggered this late last week in the. About 300' wide, 100' long and 2.5' deep at the fracture. Buried his sled, but was ok. Things appeared stable otherwise. Seems like lots of avi activity lately.
