seeking advice on diagnosing loss of spark....

hoping someone might be able to help me figure out my spark issue on my '99 670 MXZ... was riding and it sputtered to a stand-still ..... I've been coached to check my stator, coil, and/or cdi.... can anyone tell me what wires i'm to probe to test each component? sure haye missing out on the fresh snow that's fallen lately...

start with the simple. Plug wires first.

Had the same issue with my old doo... I would check grounds... If your in need of a stator I got one from rm stator, they shipped it right quick and was the best price I could find

Check the cod it is on the side of your oil tank there are two wires on bottom sometimes they loosen off. But could. Be coil wire as they just screw in take wire off coil and plugs cut off end screw back in problems solved put some die electric grease in there also.
