What and where are you guys buying your oil from? I am wanting to run rotella 5w-40 instead of the yamalube 20w-50 but can't find the 5w-40 anywhere in GP.

Thanks,

My yamaha dealer told me that my grizz had to have a "jaso ma" rated engine oil. The clutch is very expensive to repair when you run oil without this rating. (Assuming the Rhino would require the same rating)
I run amsoil 0w40 and very happy with it.

As long as the rating of oil doesn't state "energy conserving" and is JASO rated then you are fine. The EC oils have an additive in them that slips the disks on the wet clutch and wears them out. If I can't find that rotella I might have to run that amsoil powersports 0w-40 oil.

Thanks,

Why? you do realize the 700 yamaha engine only uses 2L of oil for a complete change. Why even risk it. 6000 km on my 08 700 Rhino and still going strong. Oil change every 1000 km with Amsoil 0w40 atv oil

I found some Amsoil 0w-40 at Peavy Mart in town, they just got some in less than $14 a quart.
