Wont that produce carbon though?

They are building a refinery as we speak out by redwater that refines bitumen into final products for market. Any co2 is captured and returned to the oil fields to be used to pump the last bit of oil out then sealed under ground.

As a Locomotive Engineer we see the fluctuations rather quickly as rail is a cheap way to ship. Traffic is up. Running potash from Sask. 12 000 feet and 30 000 tons, oil train, 11 000 feet 28 000 tons, mixed trains with oil, propane, lumber autos, steel at 10 000 feet 18 000 tons. Intermodal aka containers 12 000 feet 10 000 tons. And some other trains both container and mixed frieght at 6000 feet. Around 15 trains a day, CN Rail coast to coast through Northern Ont. Re called about a dozen employees or so. So, yup, your oil, wood, potash,LPG is picking up.

Finning is still slashing.... go figure
Haven't seen any slashing in sometime now Randy. Yes there was the drastic downsizing that was announced and finally some cleaning done at the "ivory tower" but it's gotten quieter for sometime now

The uranium industry is also on the rocks pound price was well over the 50 dollars per pound and has dropped to an all time low of 18. Many jobs have been slashed allready and will be a rough start to 2017
