Vermilion is sitting at about 26 inches of rain this year,alot of it in my basement. In my lifetime i have never seen anything close to this much precip

^^^^ hope it stops for a bit, crops are crap and dont need to be breaking stuff taking off a crappy crop, in crappy weather BUT once crop is off and fall work done, LET IT SNOW!

I agree...cannot remember a wetter summer in a long time...we had another 1/2" in Edmonton since 10:30 last eve. Stopped here not but forecast is for a bit more...then BLAMO...high 20s all next week.:d

and we might get snow similar to the olden days!!! Drifts as high as telephone poles, digging out of our houses, trailers buried, roads closed for days, and mountain passes plugged.....yahooo!!!

Truly sorry about the rain dilemma you guys have....

I agree with Bogger. Our local water table has been shrinking for years, ponds that used to have beavers in them and lots of birds in our area are nothing more than sloughs, they have dropped dramaticly.

we normally get a foot of rain a year... good mud bugging for sure :)

lake i go to is creek fed. there is a dam that actually lets water out of the lake. good problem to have!!

Rain makes grain but I am not only getting saturated but with this last rain my crop is laying flat on the ground. I do not see any straight cutting this year.

Had a family reunion in the peace country, I really feel for these people, what crap crops. No mosquito's though....

Agreed, almost had more rain in the last two days than I had all last year. Praying the big white combine stays away. Frig, does not make for relaxing days!

I can only hope this moisture turns into winter snow!
