Just wondering what everyone does for there pre-season inspection. I only put 450 kms on my sled last season, so just wondering what I should all go thru this season

Fresh gas, blow the belt out and adjust, new chain case oil then ride!

Grease your skid and oil up your steering heims if possible as well. I hit mine with lps greaseless lubricant spray

Please tell me why you shouldn't change plugs?
Little premature with a etech at 500 km


It's not like a older 2 smoke

Even then they where good for 2000 plus km as long as u didn't flood them ect

Please tell me why you shouldn't change plugs?

1: it's a pain in the ass
2: its easy to cross thread into the head
3: the etec does not burn like an old powertec the plugs last waaaaay longer
4: in the specifications it says something like 5000-10000km before replacing(. Can't remember) :(
5: plugs are indexed so you need to follow proper procedure for replacing them
6: they are 20$ each.

But at the end of the day if it's peace of mind for you go ahead and do it I'm not saying don't do it I just wouldn't touch them at 500km like the original poster has. I used to change plugs every 1000km on my ptec just for peice of mind because it was cheap easy and it usually needed it. Not the case with the clean burning etec

BRP claims 5000 miles intervals on plugs. Use a marker and line the head and the plug for install reference, might be out a couple thou but will do.
