Polaris 550 fan

Hey guys, I'm wondering what all can be done to the 550 fan cooled Polaris motors. They claim 60hp stock, wondering what a guy can get them up to and how. thanks for any help.

Timber- Worst thing with the fan is that extra hp creates extra heat. Back when the wedge was big, rode some ultra lite weight 488's, with power added, worked great in colder/power conditions. Often blew up in spring conditions, even with hood removed. Mods that worked well all winter would quite often blow/deto with the added heat. Thought I saw somewhere that a SLP 700 edge silencer was worth a couple hp on the 550, as well as your typical flow-rite mods/jetting. See if you search Snowtech 550 mods. Good luck...
