over fuel

2009 summit x 800, the sled runs fine but when you shut it off it will get fuel into the carbs, then it wont start, iv had the shop looking at it for a week now and they cant find the problem? any answers?

float level, crap on float needle jet. hold the throttle wide open when starting may help, attach tether ist.

-Make sure the fuel tank is not pressuring up by popping the cap.
-Check the vent hole in the LH bottom pan where the upper shock is mounted for blockage.
-Needle and seats could leaking
-There is a fuel shut off valve in the fuel pump untill you pull the engine over
-Make sure the heated carbs ar NOT on cause the engine will run rich and the the bottom end is loaded when you shut if off.

hey everything has bin checked more than once and still the over fule problems??????????? could it be the ECM?

I found that if my carb heater was on after turning it off never had the problem again

problem solved a vaccum line to the crank case was pinched! sled runs great:)

the guys seid it was pressurizing the crank case and causing it to flood out when i shut the sled off. dont really no but its running 100% now:beer:

what do you think would cause the gas gauge to allways say it is low?
