Ooops_thought I'd take the dock out-Oct10.09

Well I went to Pigeon Lake to pull the dock and boat lift out today. I knew it would be cold but it has to be done....wow was I in for a surprise.
There were at least 12 other docks in the water and one boat still on a lift (tah I could see). And it was chilly, were just not acclimatized just yet.

So we hear and hope as my $3000.00 boat lift is still in the lake. If so, it comes out next Saturday.

I feel your pain about the hoist. My neighbour was good enough to pull mine in with his bobcat, unfortunately my other neighbour still has his boat on the lift in the water. I think he's waiting for the wind to push the ice on shore.

So I convinced a very sick Summitric to join CH=J, Jrhighmark and myself to take another attempt at pulling the boat lift and remaining dock.
Surely with the warmer weather the lift would now be free of ice...
NOT...

It was certainly better but it still took about an hour to get the ice off.
