anybody know how to get to the old nordegg mine? somebody told me yoiu turn south off the highway after nordegg then there's a staging area on the right..... but not really any more specific than that. how long does it take to ride there etc and whats it like? thanks a lot and cheers.

You CAN get into the mine site with an ATV or walking ,HOWEVER it is very much ILLEGAL to do so, you must go in only with a guide on a tour. If you get caught in there otherwise it is a federal offense, i don't think it's worth a chance like that.
There are some trails etc. to the south of the minesite (south of Nordegg townsite) and others close to town and east of town down the old railline that can be nice riding.

It is a National Historic Park. Not a whole lot to see,, old buildings,,,,,,,, The trails around the site are far more interesting. May be a bit challenging if there is ice on them???

don't need to p:;;;ss off the law , hard enough to get good trails to ride
