New to the nytro game.... What's the best way to strengthen the 08 frame or change it? I did a search and looked at the old posts....they were older wondering if anything new out there.

The updated subframes (my '11) will bend as well. Mind you i hit a rock pretty good at 40mph and any other brand would have been crushed like a pop can. I found mine off of eBay for around $350 with shipping. You have to take the whole front end apart, it was around 3hrs said and done with a friend. Also there is gusset kits for the yamaha subframes floating around. Makes good bracing.

You can also look into the Diamond S chromoly subframe but they are lots of $$$. Pay what you get for ordeal. If you care about weight it saves 6# over stock.

Washy on here used to sell a gusset kit. I put one in my Nytro and it lasted until I hit a huge boulder. If you have the stock '08 subframe, them strengthening it is a must.
