A man that shot and killed an intruder in his house back in January in Calgary won't be charged or receive any jail time. Nice to see the justice system got one right for a change. Ruled it as self defense!

I have no idea of the details as to what happened during the b&e or whatever,
but taking a human life is no joke in my eyes.It would be a very dire situation
before I could justify taking someones life. Just my 2 cents.

Fair enough. I don't think anyone knows what extreme they would go to when some nut bag breaks into your home. Wife and kids sleeping I believe the natural instinct would be to do whatever it takes to make sure no harm comes to them.

probably be a lot less B&E's if the criminals new it was law to be possibly shot upon entry, but then again I don't think they're all that bright.

For those that agree that they would kill an intruder in their home, they probably shouldn't show support on here in case they ever have to shoot someone in their home. Just saying. I would personally got to the extent that I felt was required at the time and I am a gun owner for this very reason.

of all the sick and twisted things you see on the internet, i just feel so good to hear a happy ending like this one. Swift justice. I would do anyhting to protect my family, even if i ment some sick court system found me wrongful in doing so. Better to be safe then sorry.
