I would think that Ken would have to think long and hard about not selling his rear skid - they are good but honestly as one that rides one - they are horrible on the trail and are relatively old technology. If he is going nextech that makes a pretty loud statement.

Get ahold of IMSICK... I know he has one on his apex and as of last yr he loved it. Tell him who ya r, what ya got going on, and papa sent ya. He may be able to help ya with initial set-up

Imsick is running a AD Bovin ZX skid not a Nextech. His skid is composite not carbon fiber.

Ted @Terra Alps still has not finished my sled yet. I dropped it off in July for a custom tunnel, BB Kit and a set of Jaws pipes. I had Curt send him the suspension to put in. He told me he would have it done this week, I guess that is not going to happen.

I talked to Ted yesterday he said he is testing the nextech skid all next week. He will let us know how it works first hand.

H did Mountain Magic's testing go with it - did someone not post that they were testing in Valemont prior to Christmas?

Are you sure Ken is moving on to Nextech?

He may not be completely switching but i saw a few sleds in there with the nextch installed and a guy walked in just before i left carrying a complete skid so he is definatly trying them.

here is an installed nextech skid. I have tried many rear skids, I can tell you that this is the best riding suspension I have run, from holz to M10's. We'll have to wait for more snow to see how it works in the deep. So far on the trail it is awesome... I also believe this skid is going to allow for far more ski pressure for bigger power.

That looks awesome !

If it works half as good as it looks , its going to be a great suspension.

Have you got any good deep snow rides on it yet?

What is it like?

I currently ride with an E Z Ryde skid on an M cat, and find it way better than a stock skid, but if this is a lot better yet, sure am interested.

I’m having one Completly rebuilt to put in my 163 , 15 year old technology and still thinking it’s going to be a huge upgrade. I’m looking for comfort on the trail, if it climbs as good as my stock skid which I’m told it will be better. Win Win , I will update , hope to have it all done and instslled for the 24 th of feb.. Best part , didn’t pay 3500.00

I ran one in a 2016 T3, new sled & suspension that year. Deep snow performance was incredible, never collected any snow in the skid. Don't remember the ride quality, it was not so much the focus @ that time. Was also running a Fox set up in the front, most likely the Evol II's. Had come from the M10, Holtz, Raceredge & various other skid frames. I do remember being impressed with the NexTech.

Many issues unfortunately, the geometries & leverage of how the suspension worked would tear the chassis apart. It was a battle to reinforce tunnel mounts. Constant failure of wheels & bearings due to excessive loads & the balance of internal suspension parts.
