Hey a few of us are looking at going to golden for the first time. Just wondering what areas are good to ride, we will have a couple of newbies in the group to keep in mind.

Thanks

Quartz Creek first then Silent Pass second with new guys! Quartz is a easy approach only 14km long. There is a Cabin at the end of the trail and alpine is only moments from the cabin. Lots of area for newbies to play! Silent has a longer approach 40km+ and has one crux (not too difficult) to get past before there is great beginner terrain!! Stop by GSR / Mountain Motorsports to get some trail maps and area info!

Sportsman Lodge in Golden has the best sledder rate. They're doing $72 a night. Nice Tub and Pool after a tough day in the powder. Should have seen that parking lot this weekend could have been mistaken for a trail head there were so many sledders. Speaks for itself.
