m1 clutching

i'm woundering if anybody knows were the rpms should be on a 09 m1 for peak hp i'm pulling 7200 rpm i was told i should be at 8800 rpm what clutch are you using and rpm your at

8800 RPM is way too fast for a 1000 - even if it is modded. A stocker should be around 7200, SLP piped unit around 7600-7700. My setup with SLP setup, RKT head & secondary, STM valves and BDX box runs @ 7700 RPM at 7500 to 8500', using cutler 80g weights with 1g added to each flyweight.

With piping it with the speedworks I believe your suppose to be 7600 - 7800 at the max. Stock you should be around the 7400 on the m1000.

My M1 is running around 7700 with the SLP set up and dalton clutching. Stock is around 7400.
