looking at a turbo apex sled!

looking at a 2006 turbo apex! what is the good and the bad about this sled?

it has a BD turbo (professionaaly installed) that is 18 psi....the guys says 326 HP??? for got to ask but is this carb or FI? lot of light weight stuff and said it weights 586 pounds (I think that is lighter than my 900 LOL).

can some one tell me is this a good turbo kit? and pro and cons of a 06 apex?

I have and run a BD kit, I like mine. Boost is Boost, they all do the same thing..... make smiles and skidmarks...lol... i mean highmarks.

Do you know if any of the internals have been done, like valve springs, or rods/pistons? It is injection. I think 586 lbs is a bit of kaka. but when they are boosted they feel lighter than they are.
what kind of $ for this one?
Just curious because i a sell a 2008 Tapex BD kit. This one is capable of 24lbs boost, running it at 14. and lots of goodies on this one. including a vario abs pack.

It is a pretty sled. I like the looks of the apex, but...... it still has the stock skid and probably the stock maverick track, it does have a aftermarket seat and gen 2 skies, but the rest of it looks stock. i am guessing, and only because i have one, but that apex with fuel will be closer to 700 lbs. is it the 25 kit? or the 2860? how many km/miles? I honestly don't think its a great deal......J.M.O.
It doesn't have reverse either.

there's no way that sleds 586lbs. whats it got for milage?

what do you think it weights then? I have no idea, that is why im asking! he also said 326 hp at 18 psi......is this out there also? I think I would turn the boost down so I dont have to run race fuel.

11000 us i Have seen better deals here in canada. Full out mod Apex's for 12000. Seen A Few good deals lately

closer to 700lbs full of fuel.
if he claims 326 at 18lbs.... must be the 2860 turbo kit, and at 50/50 race premium and 18 lbs no it will not be 326.
Stock its 150ish.... plus 7 hp per pound of boost. 150 + (18lbs)126ish hp = 276ish hp.....

Buy it, looks good would have cost someone about $25 000 to build so you are getting a good buy.It will have more power than you need no matter what.Plus you are close to Powderlites if you need anything.Enjoy.

think Im leading towards mcx turbo kit now....I heard you cant put reverse on a BD kit. is this true? found quit a few mcx apex in alberta

Hey Overkill, I have a friends 2006 MCX Turbo Apex for sale in Sicamous. It has reverse, an M10 162 and Boss seat, lihgtweight hood and only a 1000 miles on it. $12,900

it is true that you cant put reverse on an apex with the bd setup isnt it ???!!! there was a guy on here somewhere that was saying that you could but that youd have to minus the park brake.....? and what size of turbo does that mcx apex above have ?

yes you can run reverse on a BD apex turbo kit, you use the E brake assembly and cable as your linkage to engage and disengage reverse.

mine has neither......but it does climb like a M.F. ........lol. just no parking on a slope...because i have a oversized exhaust/ down pipe off the turbo, no room.

well I just found out that if the front bushings are gone in an Apex it could cost as much as $3000 and up to fix. when the A-arm bushing wears out and the A-arm gets alot of movement it wears out the alum (not sure on the name but like the bulk head part) that the bushing is pressed into. I guess it is 20 hours to repace the two parts. very expensive fix. I dont understand how this could wear out in under 2000 miles but when they wear out this bad it is just a time bomb when the arm breaks off the bulkhead or what ever this is called. so now Im looking for a T-Apex with good front bushings......Anyone got one of these lol?

whats the deal on the oversized exhaust, where does it exit ??? 2871 turbo ???
