Just got back and fishing was great, almost every walleye was legal size, everybody was catching limits and there were even lineups at the cleaning stations. Must be why it's called the best walleye lake in Alberta. Stayed at Marten Mountain, very well kept campground in Prov Park. Had only one day of rough water...4' swells for about 20km on the way back to town, launched boat of a couple of crests. Big lake can have quick weather changes, kids liked the waves for body surfing but didn't like the rough boat ride. Put air bags on truck and pulled fifth wheel and boat, bags definatly stabilize the ride. Great trip, definatly going back, also lots of quad trails around town.

They use to be a big Walleye derby there they sank a few boats that lake changes quickly

Only took about 20 minutes to build to 4' waves, took over an hour to travel the 20KM back to town. Wouldn't want to have been in a small boat.

Ive been going there 8 or so times a year for the past 10 years and yearly we get caught out there in a storm, has been a couple times we were in 10 - 12 foot swells, even watched a tornado touch down on land while we were on the water, definitely a crazy lake:d
