hi Guys,
just wondering how the trails are from the kootenay area (columbia valley) into Elkford? We are saying east of Lucier hotsprings in Whiteswan prov park, and planning on quadding to Elkford. We have some novice riders and bringing young kids, wondering how the trails are?? Any input would be appreciated, thanks,
Mike

The Koko Claims/Crossing Creek trail isn't free of snow until July (depending on the snowfall and the spring conditions). This trail is not for beginners nor novices!! And that is for both sides; the Bull River side and the Elkford side.

When the BCATV jamboree is held in Elkford, that trail ride is for expert/advanced riders only. There is lots of riding on the Bull/White River side. Once again avalanche debris is a concern and some of the roads/trails aren't open until June.

Like devildog asks, what time of year? Hoping this is helpful, fs
