Starting to fix up the 78 Kitty cat I got for my daughter today. Sounds like the hood needs to be Pink as requested. Going to have my 5 year old help with a few things. Will post some pictures as we go, pressure is on now that it started to snow.

I will try to load up some pictures of the progress so far. Removed hood sanded primed and painted pink. Cleaned out all the leaves in belly pan. Replaced brake cable and exhaust gasket. Tried to polish the tunnel a bit but that old alluminum is hard to polish. Removed the plywood under the seat that was used to mount the seat. Planning on mounting the seat with Velcro. Will have to find some decals for the hood to break up all the pink.

I have the exact same Kitty Kat, but ours is sitting in a hundred pieces. Just need to find some pieces and time to fix it up!
Good luck with the project!

Here are some updates after paint and with hood remounted. Still waiting for the decals and I think I will order a new windshield to finish it off. Could use a new belly pan and console but I don't want to invest to much into it until I see if she will ride it.

Windshield and decals came in today. Need to figure out how to mold the winshield to the hood. Anyone have suggestions?

Looking good, where did you order parts from? Got one just like it for the grandkids but needs a few things. Thx
I ordered some parts from Recreation supply in Saskatoon windshield and brake cable. After the second ride I ordered a new chain a sprockets and clutch spring to gear it up and make it rev higher before engagement they were from Olson brothers racing in the US. Also ordered a new carb from Laeger racing in the US it is a 18 mm round slide mikuni. Now it will idle and I disabled the governor now too. I will load some pictures soon. My daughter hasn't rode it since the latest mods but it hauled my 180lbs across the yard at a fair speed.

Here are some of the latest pictures. I have more parts ordered for it this winter. Smaller carb jets so I can lean it out when the temperature is warmer and an electronic ignition conversion. Finally got the carbed tuned and not flooding out the engine #60 jet seems to do the trick for 3000 feet elevation. Ignition conversion works well. Clocked a top speed of 21kpH on hard pack snow with the GPS and a 7 year old rider. Just need to fix the slop in the skis so it doesn't snow plow in deeper snow. Should have all the bugs worked out by the time my 2 year old is ready to ride it.
