Kakwa riding... When does it start??

Hey just wonderin when the kakwa is good to start riding

Usually try to get the first ride in mid-December. Not looking to good though this year but it is still a month away.

do you go in from grande prarie?? how long does it take to get there?

kakwa opens dec. 1 ..... if the snow keeps comming there should be enough higher up for good riding... its suspose to snow from the 21st to the 30 on nov. in Mc bride time wil tell

Yah you go in thru Grande Prairie to get to Kakwa. Its about 2 hours south and west.

I went last year on the 14th of december and the trail was still pretty skinny for the first 15km but after that it got better.

May be mid December before we even get a chance to check it out if were lucky. Green Christmas is depressing.

Anyone bin near two Lakes to give us an update?

Set camp up Nov.15.08 Very Little snow then. Aprox.2-3" @ Sherman medows.

Takin a look and see out there next Sunday, bringing a snowmobile and teryx, not sure what to expect. Im hoping I can leave the 4x4 loaded ^_^
